The Marketing Committee's primary responsibility is the creation of innovative campaigns and icons that allow Beta Alpha Psi to distinguish itself within Stern. These can be both physical and virtual, spanning everything from t-shirts, flyers, and posters, to movies, social networks, and memes.
Typically, the committee brainstorms an advertising theme several weeks before the semester begins, and then uses it to design marketing materials and apparel for leaders and candidates. Committee members will then be involved in recruiting new members, as well as photographing and recording the countless BAP events throughout the semester. These efforts will culminate in the crafting of an original movie that is screened during the initiation ceremony at the end of the semester.
Above all else, the Marketing Committee values creativity and the execution of unique ideas. It is in no way similar to any Marketing class offered at Stern, and deals exclusively with pop culture and relevant societal trends. Most importantly, this committee is competitive. The themes and materials that BAP produces will face off against those from every other club in Stern, so innovation, originality, and boldness are absolutely critical to this committee.
